Memorial Page Marlene Brown
Marlene Brown Passed away Tuesday Feb. 5, 2008. She was a member of the Bon Bon's All Girl Jr. Drum and Bugle Corps from the late 40's to 1955 when she aged out. She played soprano, with some solo's & was a gold card member of the Bon Bon's Alumni Association. She joined the Vagabonds Alumni Style Drum & Bugle Corps in 2003 and played 3rd. soprano until she could no longer play due to a resperatory illness which got the best of her in 2007. Even though she couldn't play anymore, she longed to get back playing with the Vagabonds. She supported the corps the best way she could, she kept passing the word to join the corps to those in the area and spreading the word on her internet site. She also headed up, and helped many internet sites starting with the 60's and 70's site on yahoo, and going from there. Her love for drum corps was only surpassed by her love for her family.
Mar, you will be missed not only by your family, but the Vagabonds and the whole Drum Corps World. You will not be forgotten, you were loved by many a person who will keep your memory alive.
